![]() The connection is very glitchy my nest cameras are constantly disconnecting, wifi connection at time completely stops working while wired devices continue working as a whole, it just doesn’t seem that their routers and extenders are reliable. With the upgrade I got from Google, their wifi 6 router and three wifi 6 extenders, which all have cable connections to the main router. Or convert a bunch of Asus routers with their AIMesh firmware to run as mesh nodes- that way you also get four ethernet ports per node.I upgraded from fiber 1GB to 2GB about four months ago I am in Austin, TX. If you need more ports, use an additional small switch instead of looking for mesh nodes with lots of ports. If you have ethernet in most rooms, make sure your mesh nodes are connected to it. I have personally tried Linksys Velop and found it to be terrible for multiple reasons. Of the people I know IRL who are technically competent and also happy with their consumer mesh packages, they have Orbi and Deco systems. ![]() Wirecutter is basically product advertising. The only review site I put any credence in is smallnetbuilder, and I don't know if that's active anymore. I would consider upgrading my internet speed only after my wifi system is actually stable.
